I'm coming into a bit of money here soon so i was wondering weather or not this is a good setup / desktop...

I wouldn't pay $3000 USD for that.
I don't understand how it could have got that expensive.
+Upgrade the power supply
+Upgrade graphics card
-Downgrade the i7 to a 920 (2.66ghz)
