What setting do I use for outside pictures so it won't wash out?

I have a Fugi Finepix F700 digital camera. I've used the AUTO, SP, P, S, A, & M settings with the same results. Too white and washes out the pictures. Inside photo's come out fine.

Have you checked the other camera settings? It sounds like you have the EV adjusted to some plus value, which will make the camera overexpose. Make sure you have the EV at zero, and ISO at 200 or 400.
