As parents what do you think of the new Dora the Explorer?

My kids love Dora but my friends and other moms I know their kids love dora too but they don't feel so great about the new "tween" Dora. What do you think?

I honestly don't see why some parents are making such a big fuss about it. First of all, she is in no way dressed inappropriately. I wore clothes like that when I was 10 (which is the age she is supposed to be). I've seen 10-year-old in halter tops and mini-skirts Dora the Explorer started in 1999, right? So she would be 10, if you take away the 7 years she already was. It's not a big deal. She's a much better example than Barbie or Bratz, which plenty of parents buy for their little girls, something that also confuses me as to why "Tween" Dora has caused so much controversy. It's not an uncommon things for cartoon characters to grow up. I guess the parents who make such a big deal over 10-year-old Dora don't want their own daughters growing up. But they can't do anything about it. It's going to happen.
