Toshiba,Seagate, or Western Digital?
Question: Which portable hard drive is better?
Details:
1. I have 3 computers with a toal of 200GB of memory being used but will soon have 1 to 3 more, so I want to play it safe with at least 400GB
2. I want to be able to store it, and use it for school (I don't need a $10 2GB flash drive when I have 100GB left on my hard drive.
3. It needs to be small, I don't plan on keeping it out all the time, it will sit on my desk next to my laptop when I'm not using it.

I wouldn't buy a portable Hard Drive from Best Buy. They're over priced, especially compared to sites like newegg.
I'm partial to WD drives. I don't know why, I guess it's because my desktop has one in it and I've never had any issues with it- or the last WD drive I'd used.
One thing about portable hard drives: some will be 3.5" and some will be 2.5" drives. The 3.5" drives come in larger storage space, but aren't as portable as a 2.5" drive. Although to be honest, if you get the right one, there's really very little difference between a 3.5" and a 2.5" drive.
